"Soaring with those who have served"

Welcome, WWP Alumni, to the Soaring Eagle Foundation glider training program!

It is our mission to teach you to fly gliders, an incredible adventure that very few people have the opportunity to experience.  Soaring is an exciting way to challenge yourself and Soaring Eagle Foundation is very pleased to offer you the ability to explore this exhilarating part of the world of aviation.

We will be taking applications to join our training program through 15 April 2017.  The process includes filling out an application and completing a medical evaluation.  Both forms can be found on our website:   www.soaringeaglefoundationusa.org  Look under the DOCUMENTS tab and complete the Medical Authorization and Scholarship Application forms.

After completing both forms please mail them to:

Applications and Medical Evaluations must be post marked NLT 15 April 2017 to qualify.

Prior to the end of April, we will send invitations to prospective recipients inviting you to attend our Flight Academy Weekend, an introductory program designed to give you a taste of soaring.  Attendance at this Flight Academy is mandatory to qualify for a Scholarship.

We will hold our weekend Flight Academy on 6-7 June 2015 (weather backup 20-21 June).   The first morning will include a mini ground school where we will discuss the basics of glider flying.  That afternoon we will fly, followed by a family BBQ at our facility at Meadow Lake Airport.  Families are encouraged to attend.  Sunday, we will continue flying throughout the day.

After the Academy, Soaring Eagle Foundation will choose 5 WWP students to receive Soaring Eagle Foundation Scholarships, and we will work with them to solo during the summer.  After solo, we hope you will continue training toward obtaining an FAA Private Glider Pilot rating!

We are looking for highly motivated Warriors who have an interest in aviation.  We hope you will continue soaring as a lifetime sport after your glider training with Soaring Eagle Foundation.

We look forward to meeting you!
